Member of ‘rude’ travelling family pleads guilty to theft

A woman who is part of the “unruly” family travelling New Zealand and causing mayhem has pleaded guilty to two theft charges. Tina Maria Cash, 26, appeared on two charges of theft in the Hamilton District Court on Wednesday after spending a night in the police cells. She must pay up $55.20 for the Red Bull, sunglasses and rope she stole from the Caltex at Albany – on December 31 and January 4 – by 4pm. Cash arrived in the country on November 29 on a six-month travelling visa. On December 31, Cash drove to the Caltex Albany where she and another woman went into the store, according to the summary of facts.
